VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Requirement for Principal:
Application for the position of principals must be a graduate from a recognized university with a post graduate diploma in education or its equivalent, with at least eight (8) years post-graduation teaching experience, four of which most have been spent as a senior teacher or head of department or both in a Government/Government assisted secondary school, and have basic knowledge of the use of a computer.

Requirement for Vice Principal:
Applicant for the position of vice principal, must be a graduate from a recognized university with a post graduate diploma in education or its equivalent, with at least four (4) years post-graduation teaching experience which most have been spent as a senior teacher or head of department or both in a Government/Government assisted secondary school and have basic knowledge of the use of a computer.

Remuneration:
Salary is in accordance with the current grades and scale of the revised salary structure for teachers in Sierra Leone teaching service.

How to Apply:
Application include names, addresses, and contact numbers of three references accompanied with candidates’ curriculum vitae, copies of certificates, diplomas, and testimonials should be address to the Chairman Board of Governors and deliver to acting principal (SSS) on or before 21st October 2020. Only shortlisted applicant will be contacted.

Disturbing snail space Civil works in the Makeni Central Lorry park

By: Ibrahim Jalloh - (Jallomy) The Makeni City Council (MCC) ordered commercial vehicles and business entities to leave the park area for the purpose of upgrading the park. Two weeks were given as the duration of the work. Regrettably, a week plus few days have elapsed with no significant work done. Drivers and business people in the park are completely frustrated and their livelihoods threatened.  Few years ago, drivers and traders were asked out of the park for similar reason but after two weeks they were asked to return to the park with no work done. This was disrespectful and insulting.  We urge MCC to double their efforts as the affected persons are running out of patience.
