Bambay Sawaneh and CCC Dedicates New Frank Vogenitz Children’s Home and Donate to Orphans in Makeni

By: Alusine Rehme Wilson – (AR-Wilson) Renowned man of God, Philanthropist and Author of popular book: “Under the Mango Tree” and partners: Concord Community Church (CCC) from South Carolina in the United States of America has on Monday 28 th October donated school bags, assorted cloths including other learning materials to one hundred and ninety – (190) vulnerable children   and have commissioned two newly constructed and well furnished buildings for thirty-eight – (38) Orphans and other vulnerable children at the Frank Vogenitz Children’s Home in Makeni, Bombali District, Northern part of Sierra Leone. NCPD Inspire Bombali and Tonkolili District Disable Persons Organizations

By: Alusine Rehme Wilson – (AR-Wilson) Various Persons with Disability (PWDs) in the North including the NCPD Regional Coordinator North, Beatrice Koroma at the Polio Persons Development Association (PoPDA) camp premises situated in Magbenteh, along the Makeni-Freetown Highway on Friday October 18 ,  2019 ushered a rousing welcome to a high powered delegation comprising of officials from the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPD) including the commission’s Executive Secretary, Saa Lamin Kortequee and the Chairman, James  Taiwo  Cullen who later simultaneously presented various amounts in Cheque worth about twenty five million Leones (Le 25,000,000) to three Disable Persons Organizations (DPOs):  Vision for the Blind, Polio Persons Development Association and Disability Institute for Dignity and Development (DIDDA)  based and operational in the Bombali and Tonkolili District. My Choice and My Values

Episode One : By: Abu Bakarr Kamara (De Luminary Sierra Phoenix) I had just completed my Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication. Roaming around the street with no job to lean on for survival. As a young grad, from typical African home, the family now look forward to my support. This is without even considering the booby trap in society to gaining control of a lucrative job. I was pissed off. The atmosphere in my house couldn't favor my stay even for an hour during daytime. Imagine father had to call me a lazy boy, with not much meat on my bones. Momma will shout at me with insults, saying I'm a disappointment to the family. So being a songwriter, a poet and a guitarist, I had to hit the studio everyday from 8am to 9pm. That's the only way I was earning pocket money to meet my immediate needs; until when the studio manager sent me to deliver a letter to a nearby bar and restaurant.
