Wusum Stars set to host E.E. Lions in Leone Rock-SLPL Crunch-Tie

By: Alusine Rehme Wilson Bombali district soccer outfit Wusum Stars Football Club (Northern Rock) wrapped up its final preparatory training to face East End Lions Football Club (The Killer) from Freetown at 4:15 PM local time today at the Wusum Stadium. Wusum Stars Head coach Mohamed Lamin Kamara who has previously coached East End Lions has emphasized the importance of today's match saying “this match is a must win. We need to beat Lions and reclaim our pride as the “Northern Rock” and to do so we must put behind our back our mid-week 3-2 defeat to Old Edwardians, Kamara advised. The coach who has since told AWE-Media Sierra Leone that his season objective is to win the 2023/24 Leone Rock Premier League (the national top-tier) team currently in ninth place with 23 points after 18 league games with six wins, five draws, and seven defeats.
