By: Alusine Rehme Wilson – (AR- WILSON ) The 2019 EBK League which has been referred to as the Northern Champions League by some sports followers will kick start on Saturday October 19 this year. Twenty teams from six Districts (Bombali, Kambia, Port Loko, Tonkolili, Koinadugu and Kono) are already lined up to play home and away games in eight days fixtures. All games for this phase of the competition are expected to be played in Makeni, Bumbuna, Lungi, Rokupr, Kambia, Bamoi, Fadugu, Port Loko, Mile 91 and Magburaka respectively. Cheltenham, Sunday Foundation, Talent Rangers, Urban and Bullom Stars are all debutants into the EBK League. The defending champions Wusum Stars will face the Bombali District latest division two champions in Makeni, while other teams will have to battle it out at other venues in the northern region.
