S/L Mourns as another Media Rock falls, RIP Boss Philip Neville😭

By: Alusine Rehme Wilson  Like many other Journalists in Sierra Leone, I’m truly pained as I write the news of the heartbreaking death of Mr. Philip Neville, Proprietor and Chief Executive Officer of Media One Center a media company that comprised of Standard Times Newspaper, Star Radio and Star Television, who died on Wednesday Morning at the Choithrams Memorial Hospital, Hill Station in Freetown. His death came after he was reportedly being hit at Kosso village by an unknown motorbike rider who remains on the run. He’s among some 12 Sierra Leonean Journalists and the 3rd after Bill Wager and Patricia Ganda both former employees of one of his establishments Star Television who have joined our ancestors, leaving very many of us and other members of the public truly pained over their demised being that they’re among some of the biggest contributors of the journalism profession in Sierra Leone. Former Kambia Dist. Youth Leader declares for KDC Chairmanships

By: Kadiatu Lamrana Jalloh  Mohamed Alim Kamara was the District Youth Leader for Kambia from 2019 until December 2022 when he resigned to run for Council Chairman for the upcoming 2023 Election. In one of his interviews he explained what led him to run for the chairmanship position under the ticket of the ruling Sierra Leone's People's Party -(SLPP). He said” working as a District Youth Leader there were problems his office faced as a Youth Council and they were unable to settle those issues because they were not part of the system” and this urged him and the youths to move their Leadership so that they can avoid such happenings again cause they want to “Build a Resilient, Inclusive and sustainable District. His round up message was on Gender Inclusiveness as his past Deputy was a Female and how he is sure that his Running mate will be a Female also.

Footballer Buya Turay: “If the Jealousy and bad heart shall kill them, let them die”

It is the first time since the 2019 Swedish Golden Boot Award Winner is reacting to the public after he last came public after the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone had forced the Elephants of Ivory Coast in a 2-2 draw at the last edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, hosted in Cameroon. Design-for Greatness Ministries organize Christmas Party for Orphans in Songo Village

Following God’s call, the organization aims to establish a network of reliable aid and support for the poor and marginalized in Sierra Leone.
