Under the leadership of President Alie Hijazi and his executive team, the meeting highlighted a series of strategic initiatives aimed at developing basketball across the country and ensuring a successful start to the league, which is expected to begin in December. One of the primary goals discussed was the reintroduction of basketball programs in schools and colleges. This initiative aims to identify and recruit young athletes capable of representing Sierra Leone in various competitive categories. Additionally, the federation plans to organize capacity-building and training programs for coaches and referees to maintain professional standards within the league.
