Freetown FC’s Dosso Sidik historic brace sends them top of Men’s 1st Division Playoffs Group-A

​ By: Alusine Rehme Wilson  Ivorian born defender Dosso Sidik who currently skips Freetown Football Club from Kenema made history on Tuesday evening as he scored twice against Conteh-U FC of Makeni to defeat the host 3-2 in the ongoing National Men’s 1st Division Playoffs. Sidik completed his brace in the 55 minute to become the first player in the tournament to score twice in a single game in the ongoing qualifiers that will determine the next three 1st division teams to be promoted to next season’s national Men’s top-tier. The central and defensive midfielder whose team now leads with 4 points and 4 goals earned from two of their four group-B matches is  also the leading goal score of the playoffs. Conteh-U beat Real Republicans but coach says “all is not lost”

By: Alusine Rehme Wilson  Sahid Conteh-U Football Club’s Skipper and Forward Mohamed Koroma was the hero at the Wusum Stadium in Makeni on Thursday evening as his lone goal helped his team to beat Real Republican 1-0 in the 1st Division Playoffs. It’s the Makeni based club first victory after losing 2-3 to Freetown FC and sharing the spoils in a goalless encounter with Rutile Rangers on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively. The victory means, Sahid Conteh-U are now 2nd with 4 points, one point behind Freetown FC after three matches in Group-A but 3rd place Real Republicans FC Head Coach Mohamed ‘Cash’ Jabbie says “all is not lost for his team despite the latest defeat. “We’re 3rd with 4points and still have an important game ahead on Saturday against Rutile Rangers. Update on the National 1st Division Playoffs Group-A in Makeni

By: Tejan Frederickson Fatorma Northeast Region Football Association (NERFA) Media and Marketing In the first match between Great Scarcies and Real Republicans was a must win for either sides to had increased their chances to progress into the semis.  For most period of the game, Real Republicans FC  looked out of sorts as they failed to stamp authority in a match that a first half goal ought to have given them the confidence to play better than they did.
