The war within: APC in a strategic political dilemma

By: Ibrahim Jalloh – (Jallomy) Since the party lost power in 2018 after a seemingly indecisive general elections, APC has been embroiled in repeated and at close succession, conflict of leadership and the overall compelling and urgent need for internal reforms. The National Reformation Movement (NRM) was the first organized, coordinated and determined body to openly and professionally challenge the leadership of the APC to submit to the incessant call for internal democratic reforms.  The NRM's call was sustained and thunderous to the extent of lowering the political pride and arrogance of the core leadership of the APC. There was recapitulation and the NRM enjoyed momentary heroic stature. The outcome of the NRM High Court decision (the Injunction) brought the crusade to climax. Instead of settling for the reality of political defeat and accept political compromise and integration of major reforms proposed, the practically "smart" APC leadership has resorted to an unfort...

Alhaji Alie finally laid to rest in Lebanon

By: Ibrahim Jalloh - (Jallomy) Alhaji Alie Hassan finally laid to rest in Lebanon yesterday. He was a Lebanese man with significant difference who valued the black family and realized that his wealth was formed on the black soil. He was an unrivaled philanthropist who's philanthropic endeavours touched many lives. The late man's name remained in bolded characters in the history book of the municipality of Makeni owing to his strides in the historical infrastructural development of the political suspect city. Sadly, his long standing dream of naming the "the Old Town Hall" in memory of the late mother of the late sponsor of the Old Town Hall, Haja Fanta, never became a reality following betrayal by local leaders in Makeni, Bombali District. The Hall was however deceitfully named the Makeni Old Town Hall. May his soul rest in peace. Ameen!!!
