Keister recalls Prince Barrie to Sierra Leone Squad

By: Alusine Rehme Wilson  John Edward Keister, the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone Head Coach has recalled East End Lions Winger Prince Barrie to his Squad for the nation’s upcoming away friendly matches against South Africa and D.R Congo later this month. Barrie’s inclusion to the squad was announced on Tuesday by the Sierra Leone Football Association as the replacement of Spanish based midfielder Alhassan Koroma who’s reported to have been ruled out due to traveling issues. This means the skillful winger     is returning to the Senior National Men’s A-team of Sierra Leone for the first time since he last represented the Nation last January at the delayed 2021-TotalEnergies AFCON that was hosted in Cameroon. However, the addition of the former Bo Rangers man who doubles as the Assistant Captain of the Leone Stars Team-B has been welcomed by his fans among other football enthusiasts.

Apex Multimedia opens call for free of charge digital literacy training

By: Alusine Rehme Wilson  A total of thirty youth in Makeni are set to benefit from a seven-weeks long digital literacy course to be offered by Apex Multimedia, a Makeni based growing multimedia agency, Ambassador Alusine Lulu Bangura, the brand’s leader has confirmed. According to him the training is a fulfillment of Apex Multimedia Corporate Social Responsibility and it’s specially designed to help youth that are willing and ready to add digital literacy to their portfolio of skills.  “In collaboration with an expert from the United States of America, we will be hosting free professional film classes on cinematography, editing and screenwriting for seven weeks by the end of September this year for 30 youth, ten each on the respective courses,” Mr. Bangura told AWE-Media.SL . Mohamed Papa and Partners gifts uniform, school items to 40 Orphans in Gbanti Chiefdom

By: Alusine Rehme Wilson Mohamed Papa Bangura, the Co-Founder of Access to Education Sierra Leone with supports from Ludovica in Holland and other philanthropic partners have donated school uniform, backpacks, shoes, books, pens and other assorted school items to 40 Orphans in Gbanti Chiefdom, Bombali District in the Northeastern province of Sierra Leone. The donation was done over the week at the Gbati-Chiefdom Community center where the 40 beneficiaries most of whom are school going orphans that lost their parents and guardians to the Ebola virus disease that struck and ravaged lives of Sierra Leoneans in 2014, as part of Access to Education Sierra Leone’s continued educational support to vulnerable children in the chiefdom and Bombali District at large.
