By: Alusine Rehme Wilson The Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AISPO), a prominent non-governmental organization dedicated to combating poverty, social injustice, and diseases affecting the most vulnerable populations in Sierra Leone and worldwide, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Sanitation (MoHS), has recognized 31 regular voluntary blood donors in Bombali district for their altruistic contributions to saving lives. Among the honourees are Alhaji Osman Jalloh, who has donated blood 61 times, Martin Lamin Kotay with 55 donations, and Mohamed Lamin Bangura and Ibrahim Sorie Koroma, each with 54 donations. Additionally, 27 other donors have each contributed blood at least 18 times.
