By: Alusine Rehme Wilson After a weeklong of competitive football contests in Kenema and Makeni between 10 teams that respectively finished as the top two teams in the five administrative football regions, the race to secure a ticket as one of the best three teams from the ongoing Men’s 1st division playoffs to next season’s Sierra Leone Premier League has heightened. In the two groups A and B consisting of 5 teams each respectively based in the Northern and Eastern cities of Makeni and Kenema, the qualification hopes of two teams namely Freetown City Football Club with 5points and Edmond Michael Football Club have been shattered after losing their final group matches on Friday to Great Scarcies and Gulf 2-1 and 3-0 respectively at the Wusum and Kenema city Stadiums.
