S/Leonean Innovator Jeremiah, Pope Francis discuss climate change in Rome

By: Alusine Rehme Wilson  Sierra Leone innovator and Inaugural Global Student prize Laureate winner Jeremiah Thoronka says “2023 is going to be a great experience, adding that “I'm looking forward to all the great leaps Sierra Leone, colleagues, friends, family and myself will make in the new year." His statement comes a few hours after he had honored an invitation from the Vatican to spend a day with Pope Francis, the head of the Catholic Church. He has been the bishop of Rome and sovereign of the Vatican City State since 13 March 2013. According to Jeremiah, his meeting with Pope Francis saw them conclude a high-level discussion in relation to “climate change, youths and education on Saturday, 31st January 2022.
