EBKUST MAKENI SLPP STUDENTS UNION WING LAUNCHED

This history is made after several unfruitful attempts by successive student supporters of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) in the last 12 years to establish and launch the chapter in the Northern Region. SLAJ President Remarks at Presidential Signing of Repeal of Criminal Libel Law at State House

Mr President, let me start by making a confession. I still don’t believe this is happening. It is like I am still dreaming. I want to believe that all of my predecessors in SLAJ dreamt of this day happening under their leadership.   That is why I want to not only give God the glory for the unique opportunity of leading my Association to this wonderful victory, but to also thank Him for making my immediate predecessors- Kelvin Lewis PMP, Umaru Fofana PMP and Hon. I. B. Kargbo PMP- live to see this history making moment. They worked so hard during their various tenures for this and they wholeheartedly supported me throughout this final lap. Indeed, it is rightfully their achievement.   So it is most apt for me to paraphrase the words of Gospel artist Sinach, in her song "Chosen generation."
