Augustus, Alhaji, Buya, Kei, Kwame and Saidu Mansaray Ready for AFCON

By: Alusine Rehme Wilson There is growing anxiety in the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone camp for making the final cut to the nation’s 28-man squad that will be representing the sports passionate nation at the delayed 2021-TotalEnegies African Cup of Nations in Cameroon. Fuel Scarcity in Makeni: Bike Riders, “Jebu” Sellers Hike Prices

By: Alusine Rehme Wilson Fuel “Jebu” Sellers and Bike Riders in Makeni have unhealthily increased the prices of fuel per liter and transportation fee blaming Gas stations in Makeni who have been rationing sales while have since closed down their stations for over 72 hours now leading to astute scarcity of gas within the municipality. Of the nearly twelve gas stations in the municipality of Makeni, ten namely NP-stations (5) total-(3) and two privately owned stations have refused to sell fuel to motor owners for the past three days instead they are secretly rationing sales to “Jebu Sellers” at the expense of motor drivers and riders as well as the common man in the municipality. The situation has forced most motor owners to stop using their cars and bikes while few bike riders who have been able to buy petrol from “Jebu Sellers” at various prices between Le 15,000 to Le 20,000 per liter have hiked their transportation fees twice the normal prices.    Some Bike Riders when interviewed, t...
