NPDC briefs the Press on upcoming debates

By: Alusine Rehme Wilson  The National Political Debates Committee -(NPDC) on Thursday, December 8 briefed the media on its plans to host the nation's first-ever political debates for youth, women and persons with disabilities. The day’s  event was hosted at the Harry Yansaneh hall on Campbell Street and was chaired by Mr. Ahmed Sahid Nasralla, the President of the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists-(SLAJ). In his opening address, Mr. Nasralla welcomed the journalists from both print and electronics media institutions in the country invited to the event, saying you're all welcome to this News conference organized by the NPDC which comprises of eleven organisations including SLAJ, SLUDI, CGG, IGR, PPRC and the SLBC to keep you all informed with the plans we've put together with regards the upcoming debates we will be organizing for youth, women and persons with disabilities. 10 Pressmen benefits from SWASAL Commentary Training

By: Paul Kamara paulkamara772@gmail.com With funding from the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), the National Executive of the Sports Writers Association of Sierra Leone (SWASAL) on Thursday 8 December 2022 ended a-two-day training on Sports Commentary at the Harry Yansanneh Hall, SLAJ  Headquarters in Freetown. The training brought together 10 selected sports journalists from across the country in order to be better equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge needed to carryout sports Commentaries professionally and efficiently. The facilitators were carefully selected. All with sound knowledge and wealth of experience in their respective fields. The facilitators include: Durosimi Thomas, a senior BBC-trained and certified expert, Sorie Ibrahim Sesay-Director of Competitions (SLFA), Franklyn Angel Foray Marah-Referee's Manager (SLFA), and Ahmed Kanu-President of the Sierra Leone Volleyball Association.
