AIG South Brima Kanneh Assures of Quality Policing

He assumed office on Monday 1 May 2023, replacing AIG Harold Andrew Michael Charles Hanciles who has gone on his leave to retirement. Addressing pressmen upon his first day in office, AIG Kanneh underscored, he is happy to be in the region and noted that he's fully ready to carry out the force's core constitutional mandate which is to protect lives and property. According to AIG Kanneh, he believes the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) cannot effectively and efficiently carry out its constitutional mandate in isolation but through partnership and collaboration. He informed he is therefore placing his emphasis on community policing and called on members of the public to always help the police with vital information that will aid them in their operations....

They were crowned champions after picking up a solid 2-0 victory over Mabanta Stars in the grand final on Sunday, at the Mabanta community playing field. The reigning champions (BWB foundation) demonstrated a good football performance against their opponent which earned them the victory and emerged as the better side, thanks to Alhaji Kanu, (man of the match) for opening the scoring for his side in the 22nd minute of play after making a great dribble pass the defender of Mabanta stars and struck in the ball with his left foot, and 7 minutes after the opener, his teammate Amadu W Jalloh netted the 2 goal.
