Kamara won by a wide margin, receiving 43 votes. His rivals, Aminata Bangura and Alhaji Umaru Bah, got 11 and 1 vote respectively. His victory brings new hope for Sierra Leonean football after months of confusion and court battles. The journey to this election was full of problems.
