During its first eviction ceremony hosted at the Makeni city council hall on Friday night, exciting revelations from all twelve contestants iced the contest.
With the contestants competing for the Le 50,000,000 star prize for the winner of ongoing Salone Culture Alive TV Reality Show in the northern city of Makeni the dark was lighted up as they presented historical facts about the migration and way of life of the Creole, Mende, Temne, Madingo, Limba, Kono and Kuranko ethnic groups.
The power packed learning zone event which is primarily organized by Summit Empire with support from the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs and other partners to trace as well as showcase the tradition and cultural way of life of the People of Sierra Leone, on the day was the first of seven evictions already lined up for the twelve finalists chasing the multimillion Leones star prize.
Timed to spend four minutes each to make their individual presentation of their weeks long researches about their various ethnic groups in search of 30% mark allocated for the session by the show organizers who stressed that every contender of the 12 finalists is sure to progress to the next stage of the show if they accumulate more votes from the online subscribed voting which bears the greatest percentage of 70.
Of the twelve contestants representing seven different ethnic groups, two namely Cynthia Ayo Jose Sartie and Samuel Reginald Gray represented the Creoles, three namely Martha Admire Koroma, Alusine Rhoda Thullah and Dalinda E.S Kamara represented the Themnes, two namely Rose Hawa Marah and Augustine Majid Korio represented the Kurankos, Fatmata Lansana and Alusine Habib represented the Mendes while Richard Tarawalie, Ryan A. Mafinda Bob and Gibrilla Daramy respectively represented the Limba, Kono and Mandingo tribes.
All twelve contestants presented numerous stories that depict the meanings of the Tribes and the traits of their four fathers.
One of the Creoles representatives disclosed that the tribe which is formed by four batches of freed black slaves namely, the Maroons, the Nova Scotians, Blackpool and the Liberated Africans are very intelligent and respectful people that prime education, Christianity and privacy, no wonder she was awarded as the Star Performer of the Night.
The others also defined their traits and way of life of their people saying the Mendes are caring, respectful and law conscious, the Madingo man says his tribe is regarded as pioneers of Islam and are fond of their Ataya coffee, the Kono man says his tribesmen are historically hunters that were pushed from the South by the Mendes stressed that they are respectful people who cherishes their own, the Kurankos said they are warriors, rulers and famers while the Limba man said his tribe is known for being peaceful and lovers of local win(Poyo) while the Temnes said they are accommodating and trouble like but stressed they are highly religious and fond of the practices of polygamy.
In the end, one of the two Creole representatives Samuel Reginald Gray was evicted while the eleven others have progressed to the next stage of the show and now awaits a send eviction night expected in the next three weeks where two more contents will be evicted.
