Born & Raise Academy Ushers in 32 new recruits, provides them with new kits

Leading Grassroots Soccer group Born & Raise Academy has on Saturday 16th July 2022 provided new kits to newly selected under-12 and under-14 soccer boys.

In a special event organized at the Academy’s complex located at the vicinity of practicing   playing grown, along Makeni-Magburaka Highway in Makeni, about 32 players who were selected following a remarkable one month trials converged and incredibly benefited from the historic day’s event.


The golden kits package holds sets of Nike-made jersey, track suits, Footballs and few others.

While distributing kits designed for the full picture of trainings, boys grown into cloud-nine believing that, they are in a new stage of footballing where they could improve their soccer skills and as well as achieving their living dreams in the world most cherished sport.


Speaking to Northern Times Newspaper, Lovel Fornah the Academy Lead at the Born & Raise Academy stated that, providing soccer kits to players for both trainings and matches has been a normal routine in his organization and should not be seen strange, living with the fact that kits and players’ welfare are the basic necessities for teams wishing to play a class football.

He added that, their support has been far beyond the primary focus of converting young local players to professionals, but either empowers them in both education and other job-related skills that would offer them with better living conditions within and outside the circle of football. 


According to him, there is life after football and players are being perfectly prepared to live a better soccer retirement life.

Aiah Bockarie is the Academy Head Coach who told Journalists that, the most challenging part he had experienced in piloting drill sessions was inadequate supply of kits to players, that are enjoyable and safe for both trainings and cup ties purposes.  


He further disclosed that, having the right equipment in combination with the proper training techniques would ensure high passion and safe trainings of player, and as well as a better stimulation on the development of those players.

Speaking on behalf of beneficiaries, David Turay a 12-year-old newly recruited player from the Ropolon community thanked the management of the Academy for providing them with the appropriate kits needed to improve on their soccer skills, noting that, the new kits would as well serve as a motivation in their daily trainings. 

“The kits would be used for the intended purpose with the sole responsibility of providing required care,” he assured.

Makeni Medical Mission Brings Hope and Healing to Bombali District
