Miss Supermodel Worldwide Pageant: Elizabeth Doherty to represent Sierra Leone in India

20-Year-Old Sierra Leonean model and winner of the Miss Best Model Sierra Leone,  Matina Elizabeth Doherty is set to represent Sierra Leone at this year's Miss Supermodel worldwide 2023 to be held in India. proud of her major achievement. Matina Elizabeth Doherty was crowned as the Miss Best Model Sierra Leone after competing with top models in a tight race.

The organizer of the Miss Supermodel worldwide 2023 took to their official social media handles to share photo of the winner of the Miss Best model Sierra Leone who is to represent Sierra Leone. 

Hailing all the way from the Lumley community, Matina Elizabeth Doherty competed against several eager models from all around the country and won this renowned distinction. She was crowned after several events, including a preliminary judging portion of the pageant where participants had to show off their skills.

Her three-year pageantry experience began in 2019. She was previously crowned Miss Krootown road in 2020 (Winner), Miss Babara United in 2020 and Miss Shams in 2019 (1st Runner up), among other titles. Both are renowned as being big platforms. She told Salone Messenger, a Public Relations Firm based in Sierra Leone that she has been captivated by the sparkle and glamour of pageantry since a young age and has always wanted to try it out.

She also desired a platform where she could use her enthusiasm for supporting young people and advocating against drug abuse and drug misuse, she reveals to Salone Messenger that she hopes to start her campaign called Anti Drug media campaign to raise awareness about using unprescribed drugs "I am humbled and honored to have won the Miss Best Model Sierra Leone, I hope to work with healthcare workers to start up my campaign which I strongly promoted which is the drug abuse, I hope to start Anti Drug media campaign to raise awareness about using unprescribed drugs among young people in the country" Matina Elizabeth Doherty said. 

Her mission is to help young people get better resources so they can stay away from drug abuse and drug misuse. Her entry into the business world is one of her long-term objectives.

Matina Elizabeth Doherty, who is in her second year at the I.P.A.M. University of Sierra Leone pursuing Business Administration, said she would like to further with a master's and PHD someday.

“I have hopes of entering Miss Universe one day,” she said.

Matina Elizabeth Doherty disclosed that after being crowned Miss Best Model Sierra Leone, she is the current representative for next year's Miss Super Model world wide which will be held in India in April.
