Sierra Leone Men's U20 Gears up for WAFU A' Tourney

The Sierra Leone National Under-20 men's team is in high spirits as they enter day three of their training preparation for the upcoming West African Football Union (WAFU A) U20 sub-confederation tournament in Liberia which will commence from the 15-30 September, 2024.

Friday, 12th July marks the third day since a 46-man squad was invited to camp for this all important tournament. The Head Coach, Mohamed Lamin Kamara, together with his technical team, is committed to ensuring the team is adequately prepared and determined for the upcoming event.

At the Approved School Playing Field, Coach ML expressed satisfaction with the performance demonstrated by the players so far. However, he disclosed that the squad will be reduced to a final selection that will travel in September.

Addressing the players, Coach Lamin stated that the best among the players will be selected. Adding that those who will not meet the expectations of the technical team will be dropped. “I advised all players to work hard assiduously,” He maintained.

Responding to the teachings of the technical team, the players expressed optimism, noting that they will continue to up their game to enhance the required results of the U20 team.

The Gaffer and team will continue their intensive training sessions at the Approved School Field in Freetown.
