Drizilik, Idriss Elba’s “Ashobi” out on April 3rd

Youngster Sierra Leonean song writer, singer and rapper Benjamin Menelik George who’s famous by his recording name as “Drizilik” has confirmed teaming up with iconic Idriss Elba for a joint named Ashobi.

“Ashobi” is a famous unique traditional attire of Creoles, Yoruba and other Africans. It is usually worn by families and social groups to attended special events as a show of unity and solidarity.

For the production of the “Ashobi” melody Drizilik has confirmed hooking up his regular production suspects DJ Rampage and Masterkraft.

Gisting his 270,000 plus Facebook audience about the upcoming joint with the celebrated actor and model Idriss Elba, Drizilik wrote: Ladies and gentlemen, Mrs en Masta, boys and girls, all man na di Shukubly, Are you ready now?  Cuz time don fit clock! You don get di ashobi?

The 28-year-old performer’s originality in his music making is paying off gradually and his latest Ashobi joint with Elba that will be officially premiered on Wednesday, 3rd August, 2022 is anticipated to further polish his globalization drive of the true Sierra Leone rhythm.
