MAN 42 SEXUALLY PENETRATES GIRL 11

A forty two (42) years old man, Alimamy Mohamed Sankoh was yesterday arraigned before presiding magistrate Peter Gogra for the offence of Sexual Penetration of a Child contrary to Section 19 of the Sexual Offences Act No 12 of 2012 and Sexual abuse by person in trust, contrary to Section 25(1) (a) of the Sexual Offences Act No12 of 2012.

According to court evidence, it was disclosed that the accused Alimamy Mohamed Sankoh on the 1stJanuary 2016 and Friday 10th January 2020 at Mabang village in the Kholifa Mabang Chiefdom in the Tonkolili District, Northern province of the republic of Sierra Leone engaged in an act of sexual penetration with an eleven years old girl.

The eleven years old minor testified that the accused Alimamy Mohamed Sankoh came to her village at Gbangbantoke and met with her parent with the pretext to supporting her in her educational desire but unfortunately turn her as her marital wife. 

She revealed in court that the accused at the initial stage was sexually fidgeting her with his fingers while she was staying with him and immediately he got marriage to her cousin Jeneba, the accused started having persistent sex with her until her cousin met him abusing her which prompted her to inform village elders.

She concluded that the village elders separated her with the accused by removing her from the accused house to a nearby neighbor but the accused became furious and started threaten their lives which prompted her including her cousin Jeneba, the accused wife to runaway to their parent in fear for their lives.
She further stated that they spend two days to reach to their village where she explained her ordeal and immediately her father took her to mile 91 police station where she officially made a report.
