Referee Aminata Fullah set to official in the 2025 Women's AFCON

It's groundbreaking news that calls for celebration as North-East Region Football Association referee Aminata Fullah has been selected by CAF to officiate at the Women's Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, starting in July! 

As a FIFA-badged referee, Aminata is not only the only Sierra Leonean on the list but also the first in our country's history to reach this prestigious level. 

Aminata Fullah's selection as a central referee for the Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) is a significant milestone not only for her career but also for the Northeast region, which has consistently produced talented individuals in the realm of football. 
Her appointment by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) highlights the growing recognition of female referees in the sport and underscores the importance of diversity and representation in officiating.

As one of only eighteen referees chosen from across the continent, Fullah's role in the tournament will be crucial in ensuring fair play and maintaining the integrity of the matches. 

The WAFCON, scheduled to take place in Morocco from July 5th to 26th, 2025, will showcase some of the best women's football talent in Africa, and having a referee of Fullah's caliber will contribute to the overall quality of the event.

This achievement not only paves the way for more female referees in the future but also serves as an inspiration for young girls and women aspiring to pursue careers in sports officiating.

Makeni Medical Mission Brings Hope and Healing to Bombali District
