45 Matriculates and 20 Graduated at African Accents International Institute

On Saturday, June 8, 2019, African Accents International Institute at its campus situated at Timbo area, along the Makeni-Kabala Highway in the Bombali District, Northern Province of Sierra Leone has staged its first ever matriculation and graduation ceremony for its students, since the college was established in 2016.

The day’s doubled packed ceremony all started with a match past from the central business area of Makeni City around the clock tower to the institute’s campus at Timbo area, along the Makeni-Kabala Highway where the occasion was called to order by the Deputy Registrar Mr. Foday Kargbo, who introduced the chairman of the occasion Mr. Alex Kapotho Kamara, who also doubled as the Registrar of the institute.

In his opening statement the chairman of the ceremony gave a brief background of the institute, citing that the journey of establishing the institute all started in 2016 with few computers available at the institute when the institution was only a computer training institute and because of the compelling desire from students and parents on the Staff, the Proprietor of the institute: Mr. Alpha Ibrahim Barrie thought it wise to expand their services at the institution and included a variety of vocational and professional courses with corresponding departments such as: Mass Communication, Community Development Studies, Computer Science department and more to help salvage the mass request from the general public for the creation of a wider room for some vocational and professional courses.


Representatives from the Islamic Council, the Sierra Leone Teachers Union Bombali District, the Free and Quality Education North, the Ministry of Primary and Secondary School Education Bombali District and others were present at the day’s event.
All of which addressed the 20 Graduates and 45 Matriculates to be gainfully engaged as they go into the universe to serve the public with what they have learnt and to focus on the various courses they have applied for to study at the institute respectively.

James Mario Tarawalie among other Founding Members of the institute, Lecturers and Stakeholders commended all those that have in one way or the other supported the institution to grow to its current height.

They concluded their speeches with a clarion call for support from the Government, and all and sundry that may wish to contribute to nation building to support the African Accents International Institute.



Certificates were later distributed to all of the 20 Graduates who graduated from various courses they have studied at the institute and the rest of the 45 Matriculates were orderly assembled to sign the college’s registrar, a process that was spearheaded by the Deputy Registrar of the college Mr. Foday Kargbo under the directives of the Registrar Mr. Alex Kapotho Kamara recording a total number of 317 Students that have enrolled at the three years old institution since it was established.

Makeni Medical Mission Brings Hope and Healing to Bombali District
