ROFUTHA wraps up HIV & AIDS, Human Rights and Law discuss with Northeast region FSU Staff, others

As part of its annual engagement plan, the ROFUTHA Development Organization has successfully wrapped up a day’s dialogue with Personnel of the Sierra Leone Police in the Northeast  Region attached to the Family Support Unit and other Heads of Departments on the topic: HIV and AIDS, Human Rights and Law.

The day-long session which is desired to examine successes and challenges on the fight against, domestic violence, gender issues and other sexual offences related offenses was facilitated by Mrs. William Bah, Mr. Amara Lebbie, Mr. Idriss Songo and Mr. Isaac Ahemesah.

All four facilitators ensured healthy dialogues during their respective presentations at the semi-annual partners meeting, told the participants that the meeting is not only held to discuss their work related success and challenges but to also strengthen collaboration between ROFUTHA and its partners, and at the end be able to map out a joint guide that will be useful for improving their collaborative efforts in the first against HIV and AIDS, Gender Based Violence, Sexual Offences and related ones.

Onbehalf of the trainees and other attendees, Daniel Amara Bongroh the Deputy Assistant Inspector General of Police of the Northeast Region commended the Family Support Unit-(FSU) in the region for “their good work,” and further thanked the organizers of the meeting (ROFUTHA) for considering the Sierra Leone Police-(SLP) as one of the key pushers of protecting human rights  and the people of Sierra Leone including commercial sex workers and persons living with HIV and AIDS, promised that the SLP will continue to uphold human rights and being impartial in the general discharge of their duties.

Loud financial silence in Leone Stars camp

Yoni Chiefdom Crowns Journalist Richmond Tholley as Ceremonial Chief
