Football Stakeholders Demand Outcome of Alleged Match-Fixing Investigation in Bo

By: Abubakarr "Buzzo" Kargbo Members of the public and football stakeholders are calling on the Bo District Football Association (BDFA) and the Southern Region Football Association (SRFA) to make public the outcome of an investigation into alleged match-fixing involving a cross-section of referees in Bo. It could be recalled that about a month ago, an audio recording circulated widely on social media, containing allegations implicating some referees in activities believed to be connected to match manipulation. Following the circulation of the audio, the Bo District Football Association, in collaboration with the Southern Region Football Association, reportedly launched an investigation and established a committee to probe the allegations. Mogbwemo Queens Player, Team Medic Reportedly File Police Complaint Over Alleged Assault at Bo Fallah Checkpoint

By: Abubakarr “Buzzo” Kargbo Mogbwemo Queens player Nadi Quad’e, a Guinea-Bissau international who was part of the squad that won the 2025/26 Women’s Premier League championship, and team medic Hassan Kamara have reportedly filed a complaint at the Bo Police West Division following an alleged confrontation with a police officer at the Fallah checkpoint in Bo. According to information attributed to the club’s management, the pair were travelling from Freetown to Bo when they arrived at the checkpoint, where police officers were conducting routine checks. The management alleges that, during the search, Quad’e was subjected to inappropriate physical contact when an officer allegedly touched her breast area in an attempt to establish whether she was a woman. Bangura, a devoted support of former Sierra Leone premier league side Kholifa Stars of Magburaka, has over time served as a vital transportation and logistics partner for local sports, died recently following years of dedicated service to regional football.  He has been buried in his hometown in the Paki Masabong Chiefdom, Bombali District, in the Northeastern province of Sierra Leone.
