IMC Boss Engages Bo District Council Chairman

By: Paul Kamara The Chairman of the Independent Media Commission (IMC), Joseph Egbenda Kapuwa Esq, conducted a familiarization visit on Friday, 12th July 2024, to the Bo District Council Chairman, Victor Korseh Hindowa, at his Administrative Office in Falaba Section, Bo. Accompanying Chairman Kapuwa was his Executive Secretary, Mr. Khalil Kallon, along with Commissioners and staff from the Southern Region. During the visit, Mr. Khalil Kallon discussed the purpose of their visit, which was to formally introduce the IMC Chairman to the District Council Chairman, create familiarity, and provide an opportunity for Chairman Kapuwa to share his vision and aspirations for the commission. NERFA Men's and Women's Division One Playoff Finalists Set for Electrifying Clashes

This Sunday, Suba United Football Club will go head-to-head with Rising Queens, while Golden Dragons Football Club will take on Kabala City in the 2023/24 NERFA grand finals at Makeni Wusum Stadium. Sierra Leone Men's U20 Gears up for WAFU A' Tourney

By: Tejan Frederickson Fatorma Sierra Leone Men's U20 Players The Sierra Leone National Under-20 men's team is in high spirits as they enter day three of their training preparation for the upcoming West African Football Union (WAFU A) U20 sub-confederation tournament in Liberia which will commence from the 15-30 September, 2024. Friday, 12th July marks the third day since a 46-man squad was invited to camp for this all important tournament. The Head Coach, Mohamed Lamin Kamara, together with his technical team, is committed to ensuring the team is adequately prepared and determined for the upcoming event. East End Lions Unveils Mohamed Lamin Kamara as their new Head coach

By: Amjata Bayoh - (Guest Writer) ✍️ Coach Mohamed Lamin was recently accused of breaching his contract last month by his former team, leading to his suspension for the final three fixtures of Wusum Stars in the just-concluded SierraLeone PremierLeague.  According to a press release by Wusum Stars, the club claimed Coach Lamin had already signed a contract with another club while his mandate at Wusum Stars had not expired. When Salone Sports contacted Coach Mohamed Lamin Kamara last month to get his side of the story, he denied any wrongdoing. He confirmed he has not yet signed a deal with another club but acknowledged that he has been approached by other clubs inquiring about his services. Golden Dragons, Smart Foundation, two others Gear-up for NERFA Division One League Return Legs Showdown

By: Alusine Rehme Wilson    After the draw in Magburaka, the Golden Dragons of Tonkolili District and Smart Foundation of Makeni are gearing up to face off against Bombali Sebora FC and Kabala City FC respectively in the North East Region Football Association (NERFA) return leg matches later today.  At 4:30 PM, the reigning NERFA Men's Super-10 Champions, Bombali Sebora will welcome the Golden Dragons at the Wusum Stadium in Makeni, while Kabala City FC will host Smart Foundation of Bombali in Kabala.
