She attended the Y.W.C.A Preparatory School Freetown, ANNIE WALSH MEMORIAL SEC SCHOOL and the IPAM University, where she is currently studying Pure and Applied Accounting. Empress’s genre is rap music, a skill she developed in her early years to express her thoughts to the educated and uneducated over the years with messages of peace, survival, and hope. In 2010 She started raping officially when inspired by one of Sierra Leone’s Kings of rap - Kao Denero and has since created a phenomenal chain reaction among female rappers that sets her apart as one of the best female hip-hop rappers Sierra Leone has produced. In 2012 Empress was signed by REEMS entertainment which took her career to another level producing many hit songs. Today she is presently the face of REEMs she has now released her album Green Light. That album was full of surprises, creativity, and finesse, something that has never occurred in the Female hip hop sector of Sierra Leone, a 16 track album with 80% collaboration. Late last year Empress ventured to release her first EP called Shout Out, which has 4 hit songs, of which 2 songs featuring Sierra Leone’s finest rapper King Boss LA title “U fool eh” and Nigeria’s finest rapper from the South called Yung6ix in the song title “Can’t get over you”, followed by “Shout out” and “Pop Bottles" of which Shout Out video has been released.
