‼️Fostering the Sustainable Development  Processes in Our Darling SLAJ... ❗Mustapha, De Monk & Northern Region Delegates Interface in Makeni

➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
For the first time in the history of our darling Association of Professionals: (SLAJ), Presidential Candidates (Mustapha K. Sesay & Ahmed Sahid Nasralla) at a well attended meeting by Northern Region Delegates and a cross section of colleagues from the Western & Eastern Regions has concluded a historic and faithful meeting.

The all important deliberation was staged at the where-else guest house in Makeni, Bombali District, North East region in the morning hours of Saturday 29th June 2019.

The four hours long meeting created an open platform for the two Aspirant and Delegates to romance with diverse visions in fostering  Sustainable Development in our dearest SLAJ.

Commissioner Mustapha K. Sesay won the raffle to  begin the talking, and for almost 90minutes made meaningful revelations about his successes, challenges and experiences as a former executive member, and two time Aspirant for the association's most precious seat.

He noted some old and recent instances that he had managed as a dispensation of his leadership qualities and thus said that: "I almost went unopposed until Monk came up after being pushed by some people to contest against me. Moses Kargbo stepped down for me after over two months of discussion with him and also gave me his support and blessings. Anyone here, can cross check with him to ascertain the facts."

Up next after Commissioner Sesay's speech was the incumbent Secretary General: Ahmed Sahid Nasralla (De Monk) who spoke on an equal length of time as his coeval and thus recalled briefly on his background, achievements, and experiences over the years.

Nasralla, also cited instances of trying moments and pleasing memories all of which he  said has played crucial role in his current societal stands. He said SLAJ is going through a transition and presented himself as the Transitional candidate and unifier.

Nasralla emphasized:  "I am almost 18years old in SLAJ, have served you well as Secretary General and I have now drawn my inspiration from my quest to serve you and deliver more. The rumours that I am being pushed  is silly, false and baseless. I am ready for a healthy battle of ideas. I am not in this to ensue Mustapha lose; I am in this to ensure I win. There's a difference. Otherwise I would have petitioned him for serving as an IMC commissioner and at the same time declaring to contest for the SLAJ presidency.

Nasralla who refused to talk about his manifesto pointing out that official campaigning is yet to start. But he talked about reasons the northern region delegates should support his candidacy.

Number of questions were asked by attendees and very convincing responses were made by the two Aspirant.

Asmieu Bah, Sydney Pratt, Abuakarr Singateh Jalloh and Alhaji Manika Kamara are amongst candidates vying for various positions, and two unopposed candidates also made statements at the meeting.

The Northern crew organized and sponsored the meeting courtesy of Alpha Kamara, Sahr J. Bangah, Sterling Bangura Jr., Steven Bockarie, Amadu Kamara, and the Northern Region Mangers for this history meeting as a way of showcasing to others that democracy was born in the North.

Through  consented efforts, the one time Vice President and Presidential SLAJ Aspirant wished all the Aspirants well and promised that the Northern Region delegates are 100% literates, who are all very capable to make informed decisions on their own wills, and that they are waiting to listen to the manifestos of both Aspirants once the campaign period begins on 1st July, 2019.

Photographs and handshakes climaxed the engagement.
