Aggrieved Teacher Slaps Proprietor

After ten minutes argument between Mr. Amara Alpha, teacher of Gbomsamba Rural Academy Secondary School and Mr. Foday Osman Bangura, the proprietor and principle of the said school engaged in a fist battle that resulted to the proprietor being slapped by the aggrieved teacher. This act prompted three teachers leaving the school as protest.

According to an eye witness, on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, both teachers at the Rural Academy Secondary School situated at Gbomsamba village along the Makeni-Lunsar Highway he explained that the conflict emerged after the Proprietor, Mr. Foday Osman Bangura, who doubles as the Principal of the said school terminated the service of Mr. Amara Alpha from the school and later asked him to vacate from the premises of the school which was seen as an impromptu and gross embarrassment to Mr. Alpha one of the founding staff of the school that has voluntarily been rendering his services to the school for almost 8 years refused to go by the Mr. Bangura’s dictates on the grounds that he has in less than a month received an appointment letter from the very proprietor.

The proprietor then took out his mobile video and started to video record Mr. Alpha with remarks that he will order for his prompt arrest a teacher of the school explained.

This action according to Mr. Alpha aggravated him to caution Mr. Bangura with a hot slap for an attempt to use and dump him after his diligent services as a Mathematic and Integrated Science teacher of the school.

“This school is a government assisted school, approved and has been receiving subsidy since last academic year but there has been no proper structure of administration, no board or a standing committee and that Mr. Bangura has been addicted to using and dumping teachers at the end without benefits a misnomer he is standing firm to stop” Mr. Alpha noted.
