MAKENI POLICE INTENSIFIES NIGHT PATROL

The Local Unit Commander, Chief Superintendent of Police Francis Joe Songu, over the weekend informed this medium that his men have embarked on rapid deployment and patrol in all crime zones within the Makeni municipality ahead of Christmas and New Year festival.

He disclosed that the patrol team comprises police and military officers noting that under his leadership no criminal will take Makeni City as a criminal hub.

He revealed that all those arrested in crime areas will be charged to court.
He recalled that their primary role is to protect lives and properties and therefore he has instructed his police officers to be alert in fighting criminal activities in the municipality. 

He therefore called on community members to support the night patrol team with relevant information to weed out criminals in their hideouts.

The head of the night patrol team, Assistance Superintendent of Police M.S Gaya, said the night patrol team is well organized and has the capacity to combat any criminal enterprise.

He reiterated that police will continue to embark on robust operations before during and after the festivities and in the process, there is no sacred cow.
