By: Alusine Rehme Wilson – (AR-Wilson)

Makeni based musician, Fransic S. Kamara, who’s popularly known by stage name “FSK D’Moving Train” has issued a stern warning to new school Rappers in his latest track title: “4 D Fit Eye” that was released earlier this week.

Tee Mello, produced the tune and the one time leading vocalist of the FSK & Melody group, who is now the CEO of All Tribes Movement (ATM) wasted no time to put words together to indirectly reply to a recent Hip Hop revival challenge led by one of the finest musical gem in the country Augustine Jay Tee.

In less than two weeks when JayTee through the beef challenge, it has caught the minds of music followers that have gingered up other musicians in the Makeni municipality to reply to his Beef.

Like never before, Makeni and some part of  the North is now experiencing a hurtles Beef Mic Battle between and among top Rappers and new school Rappers such as Biggy D’King, Governor Blaq, VeePee, Sabi Success, and flow King, all flexing on the same beat to whet the appetite of music followers and to as well test their Rap-abilities after a while.

Despite, other bigger names in the music industry such as Stunt Man, Internet Man, CLJ, SM D-Editor among others   have been teased by their fellows, but they are yet to go their path as most among the said Artists have posted on their social media platforms and elsewere, that “the challenge is below their standards and that they are focus on producing new joints, promoting their songs among many bigger projects they are currently working on”.

Following the trend so far, FSK, the ATM CEO aka Mr. Konpoyorah has been the only hardcore rapper to have issued a warning against for others not to cross his path but that upcoming rappers should pay some amount of respect to their musical godfathers of which he said, he is one among the few Artists that have been so consistent and outstanding for almost a decade now in his musical career, he warns.

The singer further urged that “New school hip hoppers, not to mention his name in any of their beef songs as he threatens to thrash with lashes on the backs, if any rapper tends to venture to go his path on a beef” as he captures in his song.

Mohamed Titi Kamara alias (DJ Titi-K) of Radio Mankneh in Makeni, one of the longest serving Disc Jockey and Journalist in the Northern Region, in an interview with this medium, has described FSK as "a superstar, an experienced and hardcore rapper with a very rich musical background haven spent several years as a leading vocalist with his former group mate Alieu Melody and now CEO of ATM and also a Solo-Artist".

Sierra Leone, Two other Nations disqualified from AFCON 2024 U17 Qualifiers

By: Abdulrahman Barrie The U17 football teams from Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Guinea Bissau have been disqualified from the 2024 U17 African Cup of Nations competition in Senegal after failing the mandatory MRI test scans. These scans, which determine the age of the players, revealed discrepancies that led to their removal from the tournament. The disqualification follows changes to Article 27.4 of the U17 Africa Cup of Nations regulations, which have tightened the criteria and enforcement of age verification measures. The updated rules stipulate that if a team has more than four players deemed ineligible after the MRI eligibility test, the entire team will be disqualified. The MRI tests, used to enforce age restrictions in youth competitions, are crucial for ensuring fairness. Unfortunately, the teams from these three nations did not meet the age criteria, resulting in their disqualification. This decision has come as a significant disappointment for the young players and their fans, w...

Disturbing snail space Civil works in the Makeni Central Lorry park

By: Ibrahim Jalloh - (Jallomy) The Makeni City Council (MCC) ordered commercial vehicles and business entities to leave the park area for the purpose of upgrading the park. Two weeks were given as the duration of the work. Regrettably, a week plus few days have elapsed with no significant work done. Drivers and business people in the park are completely frustrated and their livelihoods threatened.  Few years ago, drivers and traders were asked out of the park for similar reason but after two weeks they were asked to return to the park with no work done. This was disrespectful and insulting.  We urge MCC to double their efforts as the affected persons are running out of patience.
