NCPD rolls out COVID-19 response to Northern Region DPOs

With support from the Government of Sierra Leone, the National Commission for Persons with Disability-(NCPD) has disbursed the sum of Nine Million, One Hundred and Ninety Four Thousand Leones (Le 9,194,000) each to seven Disable Persons Organizations based in the North-East and North-West regions of the Country.
The disbursement which took place at the NCPD Regional Office North situated along Frontier Road in Makeni city, Bombali District brought together representatives and heads of all seven DPOs that were rationally selected to benefit from the grant which is meant to support projects of Disable Persons Organizations during this time of COVID-19 in all seven districts in the Northern Region.

In her welcome address, Madam Beatrice Koroma, the NCPD Northern Region Coordinator offered prayers for the National Executive, DPO Heads and representatives who have travelled from other districts to Makeni return home safely. She concluded her address admonishing all DPOs to be steadfast in helping to transform their members for she stated that what others can co disables can do best.
Secretary Saa Lamin Kortequee Assisted the Chairman NCPD, James Taiwo Cullen to present the Cheques of Le 9,194,000 each of the beneficiaries which sum up to a total of Le 64,385,000 for the DPOs in the North.

Makeni Medical Mission Brings Hope and Healing to Bombali District
