UNIMAK GENDER AND CAREER COUNSELING-RESOURCE CENTRE ENDS DAY TWO-DAY CAMPING ON GENDER BASED VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN

The above named Center has observed the 16 days Activism Campaign on Gender Based Violence.

The manger Mrs Mary HAWA Turay in her opening statement made it clear that the Administration will not accept any form of violence in any of its campuses therefore, she is urging all students to refrain themselves from any kind of it both in and out of the campus.

She added that both male and female students suffered violent in different areas such as physical violent, social violent and the likes.
Therefore, the administration will be hard on any student found wanting of such, if anything of such arose among students let them report the matter immediately to the appropriate authorities.

In her conclusion she reiterated that all students should know that the University has given its support in-order to participate and disseminate this message across the length and breath of the university for better education and to prevent future occurrence as the motto of the university is building a world of civilization of love, as the university song goes “ we all come from different places and backgrounds to get education “ therefore, it a most that all students should keep themselves far way from any form of violence.

Among the participants are the pro-active and hardworking Vice Chancellor of the university Prof. Rev. Fr. Alimamy Joseph Turay , students both mature and regular and also other developmental partners and community people are all in attendance.

Makeni Medical Mission Brings Hope and Healing to Bombali District

Sierra Leone, Two other Nations disqualified from AFCON 2024 U17 Qualifiers

These scans, which determine the age of the players, revealed discrepancies that led to their removal from the tournament. The disqualification follows changes to Article 27.4 of the U17 Africa Cup of Nations regulations, which have tightened the criteria and enforcement of age verification measures.
