Augustus, Alhaji, Buya, Kei, Kwame and Saidu Mansaray Ready for AFCON

There is growing anxiety in the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone camp for making the final cut to the nation’s 28-man squad that will be representing the sports passionate nation at the delayed 2021-TotalEnegies African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

Key among the players that have paraded their AFCON readiness are strikers Augustus Williams, Alhaji Kamara, Mohamed Buya Turay and ace forward Kei Ansu Kamara as well as winger turned midfielder Kwame Quee and defender Saidu Mansaray.

These players since December 28 have been sharing their excitement with their fans and other members of the general public via their various Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp handles.
Kwame was first to publicize his excitement as he wrote: 

“God, I am so blessed to see another year. Yes, 2021 was tough but I made it! Double champion at Vikingur, an amazing season, the best is yet to come .I am thankful for all my fans, family, and friends not forgetting my brothers of Leone Stars. I am honored to represent my motherland Sierra Leone at AFCON 2022.”

Other Leone Stars players shared similar excitements in the succeeding hours and days.

However, the latest is form ace forward Kei Ansu Kamara(36) who now hold the record as the oldest players to be included in an AFCON final Squad for the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone.

 “When your question is answered 5hrs later by the leader of the Nation, thank you Mister President of Sierra Leone. Time to play …Let’s Go!!!!” He wrote on Tuesday afternoon.

Makeni Medical Mission Brings Hope and Healing to Bombali District
