Despite losing their tournament’s opener to defending champions Rising Queens Football Club, debutants Konsho Football Club and Born and Raised Football Club hopes are still alive ahead of their 4:30pm clash on Saturday, 19th March, 2022 at the Makama Sports Complex in Makeni city, Northeastern Sierra Leone for the StarBurst Park Equal Opportunity 3rd edition’s final spot.

The crunch debutants semi-final encounter will determine the other finalist that will join Rising Queens Football Club for the grand finals of the StarBurst Park Equal Opportunity 3rd edition monthly Women’s championship.

Meanwhile, a barren or 1-1 draw on Saturday will see Born and Raised Football Club that currently sit second on the championship log joining Rising Queens Football Club for the finals while a defeat or 2-1 will see them lose the chance to the finals to current bottom place team Konsho Football Club who needs to avoid a defeat at all cost should they wish to progress to the championship’s grand finals for the Month of Match.

Established last January, the StarBurst Park Equal Opportunity is a Women’s monthly championship that has attracted nearly nine women’s Football Clubs in the Northern region.

The competition has not only installed the spirit of competitiveness amongst the participating clubs but it is busy bridging the gender gap in Football in the city of Makeni and its environs.
