IBATECH Kambia Branch Ushers in First-Ever Student Union Government

Following his successful student union election victory in March, Abass Mohamed Kamara, the newly elected Students Union President of the Institute of Business Administration and Technology-(IBATECH SL) Kambia satellite campus and his appointees have been successfully inaugurated.


Like the election, the historic inauguration of the IBATECH SL Kambia Campus Students union body took place at the campus premises under the distinguished watch of Staff and other key stakeholders in Kambia District.


It is however, the first ever to be held since the satellite campus was set up in the northern district.


Initially, the election was contested by Abass Mohamed Kamara of the Classics Camp and John Kamara of the Progressive Camp but it was Mohamed Abass Kamara that emerged winner having scored 38 votes, 12 more than his opponent to become the first ever Students Union Government President of IBATECH SL in Kambia.


In an interview with Awoko Newspaper, the newly elected and duly inaugurated Students Union President of IBATECH SL, Kambia campus Mohamed Abass Kamara said: “Power comes from God and the majority. Thanks to my supporters and voters for their financial and moral support.


He further said: “The Election is over, its now time for us all to work as a committed team to develop our campus, called on Ambassadors, Advisers, Ministers and their Deputies of his Government to respect the oaths they have taken before the general students and stakeholders to serve the college with all their hearts and indiscriminately.”

Makeni Medical Mission Brings Hope and Healing to Bombali District
