On a rainy Monday evening at the General Lansana Conte Stadium in Ngoh, Guinea, the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone managed to salvage a point against Guinea Bissaue in thier AFCON 2023 qualifier Group-A tie.

Host Sierra Leone started  the match on high with skipper Steven Caulker's  10 minutes header flying over the "Djurtus" cross bar letting the visitors stepped up, further resist all pressure as both sides settled for a goalless first half.

Three minutes on in the second half, the visitors shocked the resilient host as thier skipper and forward Jorginho dribbled pass the Leone Stars defense and netted the curtain raiser.

15 minutes later,Jorginho completed his brace on the day after making use of a Kelvin Wright blunder but second half substitute Augustus Kargbo and his team Musa Noah "Tombo" Kamara regained Sierra Leone's prestige as they respectively scored in the 78th and 88th minute to finish 2-2, securing thier first point from two games.

Sierra Leone are now 3rd with a point behind Guinea Bissaue and Nigeria with 4 and 6 points while Sao Tome and Principe remain rock bottom of Group-A.
