Born & Raised Academy unveils youth teams

For the first-time since it commenced full fledged operations as a football academy in Makeni City, Born and Raised Academy has unveiled its U-12 and and U-14 youth teams.

Both teams were unveiled at the premises of the academy located near the EBKUST-Makeni University College Practicing Field along the Makeni-Magburaka highway last Saturday.

During the unveiling, each of the sixteen newly recruited players of the two youth categories were gifted with customized squad kits for the 2022-2023 football season.

All thirty-two players, sixteen each for the two youth categories were rationally selected from a pool of other young lads who took part in a month trials with the academy.

While unveiling the squads Academy Lead Lovel Fornah congratulated the players for making it through to the final squad, welcome them to the academy says “supplying  squad kits to players of the academy is part of their routine gesture as an organization that primes players’ welfare and education among other necessities needed to letting them excel soccerly and educationally.

“Apart from the ambition to help develop our youthful players locally, help them to become professionals, formal education, technical skills and other job-related skills to enhance for better livelihood for our academy recruits are part of some of our key priorities at Born and Raised Academy because we believe there is  life after football and players, Fornah further said.

Yoni Chiefdom Crowns Journalist Richmond Tholley as Ceremonial Chief
