”I still have more to offer my country” - Alie Conteh

Godrich Football Club and Leone Stars forward Alie Conteh who netted a brace for the Sierra Leone Senior Men’s Home-based team against Cape Verde on Sunday at the Grande Stade Marrakech in Morocco says he “still has more to offer his country.”

The promising forward was speaking in a post match interview in Morocco with smile beaming all over his face he noted that he’s happy to have scored all two goals against Cape Verde for the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone Home-based team in the CHAN qualifiers.

Adding that his Sunday evening performance is just a tip of an iceberg as his ambition remains high to continue scoring more goals that will further elevate Sierra Leone in the international soccer stage.

“I hope this win in our first leg of the CHAN qualifiers will help my country going into our next game on Wednesday as we hope to qualify for the very first time in the completion’s history,” Conteh further remarked.

Conteh earned his brace after scoring in the 15th

and 65th minute of the match.

Meanwhile, Head Coach Francis Zappa Koroma has extolled the brilliance displayed by Alie Conteh and the rest of the team. “This result is valuable to our qualification as we hope to qualify and make more positive mark in the tournament it self.”
