We want to take golf to the communities” - President Says

The President of Golf Association in Sierra Leone Ibrahim Tito Sankoh has in an mobile phone interview disclosed to the Radio New Song 97.7Fm in Bo that he together with his Executive members want to take Golf to communities in Sierra Leone. 

He however said the non availability of facilities is hindering the decentralization of the sport in Sierra Leone.

He made the statement when highlighting his Golfers preparation for international encounters in September  this year.

"We have the first tournament in Tanzanian for Females in September, African Championship in Egypt for Professionals and the Amateurs and finally we have received another invitation from Congo Kinshasa which is an open tournament all in September" Mr Sankoh informed.

Ibrahim Tito Sankoh said his association has written a letter to the National Olympics Committee, National Sports Authority and the Ministry of Sports for supports and are expecting good response as usual in other to participate in all Competitions.

He promised to select the best Golfers after a week long training.
