Grassroots Football Coaches Training Kickoffs in Kono Today

Over forty Grassroots Football Coaches from Kono, Moyamba and other parts of Sierra Leone are set to benefit from a three-day level two coaching course organized by the Sport for Empowerment Foundation Sierra Leone/Netherland, its Director and Founder Desmond Paine, confirmed on Wednesday.

The three days training will begin on Thursday, August 4 and will end on Saturday, 6th August, 2022.

Sport for Empowerment Foundation Sierra Leone/Netherlands have confirmed the certification of participants that will successfully complete the course on the final day of the training.

CAF-Instructor and former Sierra Queens Head Coach Victoria Conteh and Netherland based Ellenor Vegter a physiotherapist with specialty in foot and ankle problems, and injury prevention in sports are among the training facilitators who will be schooling the local coaches for three days.

Other facilitators of the training will be Desmond Paine, a Coach educator, Scout, soccer psychologist, children and grassroots football developer, Ambassador Alusine Lulu Bangura, a Multimedia and Marketing and Communications practitioner, Alhaji Kamara, a certified coach and physical health education instructor and Alpha Amadu Bah, a lawyer, youth activist and soccer administrator.

The training is in fulfillment of the Sport for Empowerment Foundation Sierra Leone/Netherlands commitments to building the capacity of grassroots football coaches’ capacity across the country, “the course will be add further feathers on the caps of majority of the coaches based in Kono many of who have benefited from previous activities of the foundation.”

Makeni Medical Mission Brings Hope and Healing to Bombali District
