In their opening CAF Champions League preliminary first round encounter, the reigning Sierra Leone Men’s Top-tier Champions Bo Rangers Football Club and Algerian based soccer outfit CRB played to a goalless encounter at the SKD Sports Complex on Saturday.
The Algerian visitors did made some shape advances on the host goal but the Southern region city of Bo based outfit heeded to the instruction of their coach Alhaji Foray and were able to withstand the persistence pressure from the visitors.
In the tightly contested first legs match, “The Elephants” had much of the defensive work to do, before the quarter hour mark, the host succeeded to pull through few shots on target only in the second half proceedings but like their Algerian opponents, both teams were unable to end the goal drought in the cracker.
Meanwhile, both teams will meet again for the crunch return leg match on Algerian soil next Saturday, 17th September, 2022 and the winner of that encounter will automatically progress from the CAF Champions League preliminary round.
