The Government of Sierra Leone through the Ministry of Information and Communications has reaffirmed it commitments to a peaceful, stable and tranquil nation.

The assurance was stated in a Sunday presser, in which MIC had announced a state burial for unidentifiable corpes that lost their lives to the dreadful August 10 citizens protests in Makeni, Kamakwie and the eastern part of the country.

According to the Ministry of Information and Communications, the corpses whose total number they’ve refused to disclose, will be buried on Monday, 17th October, 2022 at Bolima in the Western Area Rural District of Waterloo in  collaboration with the bereaved families.

MIC also stated that the bereaved family members have duly received from the Government the sum of NLE 20,000 each, as funeral rites assistance as it pleases the President of the Republic His Excellency Retired Brigadier Julius Maada Bio.
