P.R Unit & Its Mandate

In this of our erra, Public Relations plays a vital role between an organization and its public, and the role play contributes greatly for the progress of the organization. Because its practice aim at establishing a two way communication, by seeking common grounds or areas of mutual interest and extablishing understanding base on truth,  knowledge and full information. 

There are times, an organization been associated with some forms of negative characteristic by customers for poor service delivery, delay in responding to customers needs,  and even to a large extent corruption. And as a result, the image of the Organization is negatively perceived by the public. 

Having the fact in mind that, any organization no matter its nature, has a Public Relations unit simply by virtue of its existence. The function of Public Relations unit is to correct misunderstandings on how the publics see the organization and how others perceive it and to make the public think favorably about the activities of the organization. It requires a good research in order to unearth the ordeals that hindered the process and operations of the organization.

By so doing, it will help to create, maintain and protect the organization’s reputation, by presenting a favourable services/product (s) and enhance prestige.
