By: Alusine Rehme Wilson

Following what has been described as a hard fought for 1-0 win over Freetown visitors East End Tigers last Sunday courtesy of their new striker Issa Apex Tarawalie from Bombali Sebora Football Club who netted his first for "the Northern Rock."

The Makeni based Sierra Leone Men’s Premier League outfit which only returned to winning ways  a week ago after staying winless for nearly two months snatched a second win in this season’s National Men’s Top-Tier  during their match day-14 encounter, thanks to their new acquisition forward Issa Apex Tarawalie form district rivals Bombali Sebora FC’s 43rd minutes goal which turned out to be the match’s lone goal.

Tarawlie had said in a post game interview that it was a pleasing moment for him that his maiden top-tier goal as well as his first for his new club was enough to return the club to winning ways after going on a win drought for over ten weeks in the ongoing champions.

He has promised to score more goals for the club to let them secure successive wins in their remaining matches for the first round and move from the rock bottom of the table before the second and final round of this season’s championship.

Meanwhile, there was low attendance of home fans at the Wusum Stadium except for a few sports lowing fans and secret society men, as majority of the Wusum Stars Football Club supporters have since announced to boycott all the teams games until they return to winning ways in the ongoing championship which has saw them in a very bad shape in start of this season’s league.

However, the club which finished 3rd in last season’s National Men’s Top-Tier after they returned to the championship from eleven–(11) years long relegation leave  is set to its rescue mission will continue this Sunday when they meet FC Johansen in their match day-15 SLPL tie which is a must win for the team which now perishes at the rock bottom of the table battling to save their necks from relegation at the end of the season.
