Bo: Radio New Song gets new studio

In a significant development, Radio New Song 97.7fm-Bo on Saturday 17th February, 2024 officially dedicated and unveiled its new downtown studio at its coordinating office at 2 Prince Williams Street in Bo.

The brief ceremony was led by the CEO of the Radio, Rev Shodankeh Johnson who doubles as the Global Team Leader of the New Harvest Ministries and other senior Gospel Ministers.
Reverend Johnson while dedicating the studio thanked God almighty for the provision. He prayed that the radio continue to serve it purpose of reaching out to the unreached, bring comfort to the discomfort, salvation to the unsaved, edify believers, glorify the name of God, contribute to national development and serve as a source of accessing credible information.
He called on the radio management to make good use of the facility and ensure that the values of the radio are upheld.

Apostle John Papani Kargbo a veteran and former presenter at the radio who now resides in the United States did the first live broadcast from the downtown studio reminiscing his past presentation skills and techniques, once again blew the airwaves with his golden voice.

Reacting to the milestone achievement, Station Manager of Radio New Song 97.7fm-Bo Paul Bobsco Nhabay expressed profound joy describing the moment as a dream come true.

He noted that it has always been their desire of having a downtown studio thereby bringing the radio closer to the people and business community. He pointed out challenges they've been facing while broadcasting from their main studio at Gbagbo Hills.

"It has always been a challenge for some people to access the radio especially the aged who sometimes struggle to climb the hill leading to our main studio where we've been broadcasting from all these years. But with this new facility it's indeed a blessing in disguise as we are now accessable to all classes of people," he said.

Head of Marketing and Finance Hawa Vandi also joined the manager and the rest of her colleagues in thanking the CEO for his great support to the radio over the years. She revealed, the new studio will also help in busting the financial strength of the radio.

She noted that they've been missing out on some customers as a result not having easy access to the main studio. She used the opportunity to thanked partners for the great collaboration over the years and called for more partnerships while called on the general public to all do business with the radio for quality services.

The new downtown studio is fully equipped with top-notched facilities including air-conditioning system, uninterrupted internet facility, sophisticated studio equipments, computers, updated softwares, sound desk/mixer, studio monitor speakers, microphones, headphones, receiver, good lighting system, quality music, giant generator, etc.

Radio New Song is an indigenous christian radio station owned by the New Harvest Global Ministries and have been in operation for over 15 years.

The radio is fully licensed and approved by the Independent Media Commission (IMC) to operate as a religious broadcast radioband broadcast on frequently modulation 97.7. Radio New Song broadcast 24 hours online.

The radio also have other branches in Kono and Makeni. The CEO had revealed plans of establishing another radio in Freetown and a TV station that will cover entire country.

Radio New Song with the motto: "Reaching the Unreached" broadcast for peace, salvation and development. Many Sierra Leoneans and even beyond rely on the radio for their news, views quality programs and God's undiluted word of God.
