Forward Fleance Jumu “Balo” Kamara who joined Wusum Stars Football Club of Bombali District in February netted his new club’s first in their 2-0 home win over Luawa Football Club when he opened his season’s goal account in the on-going 2023/24 Leone Rock Premier League.
Kamara who marked his third appearance for Wusum Stars in their match day-20 clash found the back of the net from close range through a long range assist from Abdul Bangura.
“My first goal is so important to me not only because it a positive signal to me that I’m gradually finding my place in my new club’s just seven weeks after I joined them but because it was also my first win with Wusum Stars,” Kamara highlighted promising that his opener will be his of many for the Northern Rock.
The vital weekend win over “The Cacao Boys” extends Wusum Stars dominance over them this season having grabbed six points from their double headers with a 2-1 and 2-0 away and home win.
“The Northern Rock” who Head coach Mohamed Lamin Kamara has since told AWE-Media Sierra Leone that he wants to win this season’s national men’s top-flight currently occupies the ninth place on the log with 26 points after 20 league games in the league 14 points behind the FC Kallon with 39 points from 20 matches.
