The Executive Director of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Dr. Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai has tendered his unreserved apologies to the people of Sierra Leone for Leone Stars' failure to qualify for the 2025 African Cup of Nations in Morocco.
He made this public appeal on 98.1's Good Morning Salone programme on Thursday.
"On behalf of the Ministry of Sports and the National Sports Authority, I want to unserverdly apologize to the people of Sierra Leone for the inability of the national team to qualify for 2025 AFCON campaign," Dr. Abdulai said.
He went on to thank and appreciate the Government of His Excellency Retired Brigadier Dr. Julius Maada Bio for the uninterrupted financial and moral support given to the sports sector.
He assured the nation of taking action aimed at preventing a reoccurrence.
